He has held research roles at the Australian National University, King’s College London, and the University of Brescia in Italy.

In industry, Ali has led enterprise-scale data, digital and AI transformations across sectors including education, finance, government, and professional services. He has built and scaled data analytics business units from the ground up. As a Senior Manager at Deloitte, he led high-performing teams, delivered data science projects within multi-hundred-million dollar programs, and contributed to global initiatives on algorithmic risk assurance across Australia, the US, and the UK.

His work extends across the full data-AI lifecycle, from designing robust data strategies to building scalable generative and agentic AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes, combining both hands-on technical direction and executive advisory. His focus is on enabling digital and AI transformation to help organisations improve decision-making, automate operations, and unlock new value at scale with confidence and clarity.
