Ali is a visionary data scientist and AI leader with a PhD in computational physics, known for combining deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and practical leadership.

He has led enterprise-scale data, digital and AI transformations across education, finance, government and professional services, helping organisations modernise their operations and prepare for an AI-driven future. Throughout his career, Ali has built and scaled data and analytics functions from the ground up, led high-performing teams, delivered data science initiatives within multi-hundred-million-dollar programs, and contributed to global work on algorithmic risk assurance across Australia, the US and the UK.

Ali’s experience spans the full data-AI lifecycle. He designs robust data and AI strategies, builds scalable generative and agentic AI solutions, and provides both hands-on technical leadership and strategic advisory to executives. His work focuses on helping organisations improve decision-making, automate workflows, and unlock new value with confidence, clarity and responsible governance.

His academic background includes advanced research in machine learning, optimisation and computational modelling applied to optical nanotechnology. His research received international recognition through high-impact publications, global conference awards and media coverage, with roles across the Australian National University, King’s College London, and the University of Brescia in Italy.

Passionate about public education and making advanced concepts accessible, Ali founded Tech Me, a platform dedicated to helping people develop AI and data literacy through practical, engaging content.
